last summer, two of my relatives died... my great aunt and my grandfather. ever since then i have had dreams almost every night about them and other family that have passed. especially one of my grandmothers. she died when i was 12 from breast cancer. in my dreams i frequently introduce her to my boyfriend and my other friends and am so proud to show her things that i'm doing now. in one of the dreams she had come to the future (now) and i was telling her that we could fix her cancer better now and she wouldn't be so sick from the chemo since there are better drugs now. but she refused to go along with the new treatments. it made me so so terribly sad. what does that mean? i keep thinking about it and i had that dream a few weeks ago.
i don't have a religion, but i do believe in some sort of afterlife...not heaven or hell so to speak, but i believe in ghosts and things.
why did she have to refuse the treatment in the dream? before she died, she was always resisting treatment because it made her so terribly sick. she was a tiny thing... 4'11" and not heavy.......doctors always gave her too much drugs.
i dunno... just can't stop thinking about it

My dad died almost 6 years ago and I dream about him all the time. Usually they're pleasant, sometimes they're not, sometimes they're goofy-silly. I don't know that it means anything except that you still love those people very much and still consider them part of your life.

to me it seems she is letting you know she didn't want treatments then and she would not want them now. people I know with cancer that took treatments say that is worse than the illness.

Hmm... ghosts and things? I find it hard to believe because all though I've only seens pictures and read about them. It could be your mind playing tricks on you. Like you can only see it but nor touch it so it can't be real. Some people make up stuff just to write and sell books about it. UFO's, Ghosts, Witches but who knows if they are real? I do believe that we are not the only ones as we did prove dinosaurs exsist by there bones. Having dreams about people who have past away that you are close too. Is normal I've had loads of dreams occuring not scary but like they are happy. Dreams do mean something its apart of yur brain. I don't get dreams anymore because I think too much at my age just blank out in black. But I have a religion but I choose not to follow my religion as I am believing that you come in the same you go out the same. But I'm trying not to break the rules on this topic. Go with what you believe deep down in your heart.

thanks for this thread.
yes, I have dreamed about my parents.
my Dad was hard of hearing. I dreamed I talked to him and he could hear me.
our time together in my dream was so sweet.
I have had many dreams about my mother since she died.
we have talked and walked together and I felt so much comfort and love.
We never had that comfortable a relationship while she was alive.
my dreams have been a comfort to me.

I belived that I don't know what can happen beyond what we think we can see or feel. I am open to the void and all it's wonders.

I think that dreams about loved ones do comfort us in many ways. I personally do not beleive that dreams have "meanings". I beleive that in our sub-concious mind we think and feel things that manifest in our dreams. This leaves us feeling comforted and fulfilled by our dreams.
