For those of you who grew up , thought of and remember Peter Jennings in your homes on the evening news for almost 22 yrs in the anchor seat on ABC.... a Great reporter has died of lung cancer . Last night after just 4 short months since diagnosis he died at his home. I for one loved watching him and Tom Brokaw on the evening news and all the special reports be them good or bad. I felt that the news they brought us was trustworthy. Please keep Peters family , friends and colleagues in your thoughts.

With my respects,
Beth

I saw this on the news this morning. It's too bad. I don't have a lot of memories tied to his reporting, but I do remember watching him frequently.

I always enjoyed his broadcasts. His voice reminded me so much of my favorite uncle. It was very reassuring to hear that.

He will be missed.
