With in a year and ahalf, I loss my sister in law (more like sister) my dad ( I was a daddy's girl) my grandmother and the kicker my husband. My husband was my best friend, my everything. He got throat cancer and I know is he is not suffering anymore. But I miss him, he passed in March, he was 50. My counseler suggested I find a grief support group. With my schudule online is better.
Does the emptyness ever go away? I can't seem to get life in order. I lose time, not orginized. Forget important things. All signs of grief and stress?? Right after it happened family and friends would call to see if I'm okay. Now it is just me and the cats.
I miss him so much. Even the things that use to drive me crazy- I still miss. How do you get thru the lonely times? I sttill function. I enjoy seeing my grandbaby (abt every other mo) when I can. Any other suggesttions?

Widowedbipolar,
To read, what you haved shared, sounds as so many close confidants, have moved on, and the basket you may feel you are holding,?, is far to empty.
as your therapist suggested, maybe an in real life support for grief and loss, could be beneficial. [ That would be something that you would have to decide as time permits ]. Online has the advantage of others listening and being there at the oddest hours sometimes. .
.
But you wonder about the dis-organization ? forgetfulness ? , time lost ?. Grief doesn't seem to have a blueprint of personal thoughts or reactions. True there are the stages of, [ and many people find the immediate time after loss, many phone and stop by. But when they don't any longer with consistency?, they prolly also have the dealing with at the same time. but in time, everything can return ].
.
You have had a lot of loss, and in the most recent your Love, the one where the times alone are most missed with him. [ even those lil' crazy things.].
Does it all go away? , the pain of your loss ? , In time , it will lessen.
.

Specialeffects.
Thanks for this!

I understand your feelings with so many losses so fast! I lost 2 uncles an aunt, a brother my dad and a woman I looked to as a grandmother and a few friends. the thing that helps me is keeping busy. I agree with a real life support group as well. if your husband went thru hospice they do offer grief counceling too with monthly meetings I think. maybe time to find a hobby or gardening but mostly find something to occupy your mind.

Thanks Bebop, I appreicate the reply and encourgement. No, My husband was not in a hospice. He was in hospital. But I will ask my counselor, if he know of one locally. It ia time to check in with him anyway. As far as hobbies and staying busy, I got that covered. The problem is he is suppost to be here helping me remodel our house. Also have lots of flower gardens and a small vegatable garden. Really I have to much to do, but it does keep me busy. But everything in my life job, house etc; I am use to talking to him or having him help so it just makes me miss him more. Thanks for letting me ramble on.
