As you know I just recently joined and I have alot I am trying to figure out. March 20th of this year my mom passed away, it was her birthday. We do not know how it happened, the doctor said it was either a massive heart attack or something in her brain. It was a horrific shock and I am not sure how to deal with it. Since then my health both in mind and body has decreased, I am always on edge waiting for the next panic attack or constantly fighting headaches, struggling against the naggin anxiety that eats at me day in and day out.
Does this ever get better? People tell me it takes time but its been five months and only seems to have gotten worse. |

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear Mom. I know how hard that is -- I've lost both parents.
It sounds like you would benefit from talking to a grief counselor. Sometimes we need help getting thru such a loss. I talked to one after my husband died, and it did me a world of good. You can contact a grief counselor thru Hospice -- they have some great counselors. There are 5 stages of grief: shock, anger, depression, bargaining and acceptance. How quickly you get thru these stages is different for everyone. Sometimes we skip a stage. But you are still in the midst of grieving. Talk to a counselor -- it certainly can't hurt. God bless & my prayers are with you. Hugs, Lee ![]() |

I know that feeling all too well. I lost my Dad May 3 this year and yes it feels as though it gets worse but I really feel the numbness starts wearing off and we feel it more as time goes on. Dads birthday was Sunday and I had the hardest time with it. They say time heals. I am waiting on that to start.
