Funeral Tomorrow - Prayers Needed

Please say a PRAYER for my SON tomorrow..... I will be taking him to a funeral being held for one of his friends from high school and I know this will be hard on both my son and the young man's family.

This young man had been my son's friend for the last three years and he was only 16 years old when he died.... he shot and killed himself last Saturday (left a suicide note) and yet no one knew that he was depressed..... he was always of one of the kids at school that laughed, joked and played around with all his friends - all the time.

Zach will be missed by many..................... may the Lord comfort his family in the days & weeks to come.

I think your son is really going to need you in the next few days. It must be a terrible loss for him and a real shock too. It's very hard for a youngster of that age to be faced with the death of a friend. Rhapsody my prayers will be for your son and you too.

Thank YOU Domino ...... I am concerned to say the least for I know all to well about PTSD & how unhealed Wounds can effect ones life when they get resonated by some thing similar in our present life (and) I am little afraid that this funeral might resonate some unresolved issues for my son concerning the death of his only sister.

His sister My daughter passed away nine years ago and while some length of time has past my youngest son rarely ever talks about his sister, he was only seven when she died and while the family did attend counseling together to help us all adjust to the loss and to living again with out her in our lives (which took 4 yrs) I am now praying that all goes as smooth as possible tomorrow and in the weeks to come.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter Rhapsody, I can understand totally that you are worried how this is effecting your son. Especially boys always try to hide their true feelings. You never know what they are feeling deep inside. The only thing you can do is be there for him. As I said earlier you and your family are in my prayers.

There has been an increase in Teenage suicide and now many organizations have "Teen depression awareness" campaigns, and workshops,I hope there will more future ones to come.
This is a sad,growing reality today,so scarey,cause so often a person may not have signs(clues)that they are that severely depressed or if they feel they are they hide it.
I'm so sorry to hear this happened to Zach.

I hope this allows you and your son time for heartfelt talks, that will help both of you in the future.

I wanted to stop in and say THANKS to everyone that thought about me, my son and his friend / family.

Today was indeed a very sad moment in time..... one that many will not forget any time soon.

I am proud of the acceptance and time that many of the young ladies &amp; gentlemen from school gave to today and to their friends that needed to cry and to be held - moments like the ones I was privilaveged to have wittness today gives HOPE back to society and the younger generations.... you all would have been proud of the way they all came together to comfort and console (guys and girls alike).

I am glad that I was there to help the ones that needed to lean on someone else for support and for my son as he grieved for the loss a close friend..... it was hard knowing that no one (not even his parents) will ever really know the WHY to the events that took place last weekend - a deep dark lonely event that took the life of a very kind, loving and giving young man.

What touching,beautiful words.

When my sons were pre teen and barely teen, one of their boy scout troop members died in a car accident. My older son was asked to be a paulbearer. It was so tough for him to do this, but he learned and grew from the experience.
