Oh boy, that really sucks. My dog died on my arms a few years ago and I know how hard it is to lose your best friend cause you'll never really get over it.

You have to accept it and let time do its thing.Stay strong.

I'm so sorry for your loss, my dog died recently too. I know what it's like to lose your best animal friend. Mine was 12, and she grew up with me since I was in school.

{{{ tomboy~! }}} i know what you mean,, they give us courage, strength and safety, as well as love.

it's not a terrible thing to get another dog. it doesn't mean you loved this one any less, it's not disloyal. look for a dog who has already had her obedience training, maybe one who didn't make it as an "Aide Dog" ?? she would need the kind of good home and loving person you can provide~!

remember we are here to listen, grief can take a long time to subside... the memories never go away~

lossed my pup

Let yourself grieve. I know it is tough because they have become our friends and family. I have lost several that I held dear. But after greif my heart has always openned up for a new adventure. After I lost my dear poodles years ago, I went and adopted Abby then three years ago I got Scooter. I love them dearly and will shed many tears when they are gone. They are both 13 now and I treasure every minute with them.

I hope after you go through the grief you can open your heart and let love come again. With dearest sympathy.
