The dates in the title are the dates my mom was on this earth. She died Sunday late afternoon. We knew it was imminent but all of the medical professionals said we probably had two weeks. Only two of my brothers made it in time to say goodbye. I did talk to her on the phone but I don't know if she understood what I said. She grunted at me so I know she heard me.
The last two days have pure H.E double hockey sticks. My siblings are fighting with each other over the most ridiculous things. Nobody can put aside hard or hurt feelings so that we can get together and say goodbye to Mom. I have tried as hard as I can to remain neutral but it is killing me. For personal reasons I can't go to the funeral so all I have is phone calls to comfort me and that certainly isn't happening. My own daughter won't even let me cry on her shoulder. In fact we got into a fight last night because I didn't describe something when I asked her if she had seen what the dog did. She said I should have known she wanted a description when all she said in response to me was no. I am at work right now, nobody else is here and I feel very alone and empty. I want to cry but can't.

I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. My mom dies 5 years ago and I still sometimes grieve. She was my best friend.
I don't have brothers or sisters but I'm sorry they can't all get a long. I'm disappointed you can't count on your daughter to give you support. I know it must be really hard going through this alone. My heart goes out to you.
