was a geordie, he came from scotland originally but moved to newcastle - fantastic accent if you can understand them lol

he was my hero. he was MY grandad, never mind cousins i was his favourite or so he always told me - perhaps he told the others the same lol.

he was always smart, smiling, kind, loved writing poetry, when the queen came to my home city he wrote in beautiful calligraphy a book for her to sign saying she'd been here. he always tried his best, he was always loving. he was a man in a million. sadly he had arthritis from being in the navy in the war, a brave, brave man.

sadly he died when i was 16 years old. i still talk to him, still miss him and still feel his spirit around me when i am sad.

i so hope i meet him again one day. he may not have been famous, but he was one in 10,000000 to me.

rest in peace Donald Guthrie I still remember your hugs, your grandaddy smell (ALWAYS NICE)and your unconditional love for me. I miss you every day, think about you every day and you're still in my heart - always will be 'til we meet again bonny lad.

as you always called me - jinnyann - xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

my grandad..... my grandad..... my grandad..... my grandad..... my grandad..... my grandad.....
