I'm happy to announce that my boyfriends signed up for another lot of therapy. Things are finally moving forward; he's realizing how it affects me and I'm now realizing how to cope with his disorder. Last night was a stressful one as we both threatened to leave each other but we were strong enough to pull through and are great now. Things are looking up!

That is wonderful news emily! Keep on with it and try to find common ground. There will always be differences but the common ground is what keeps people together when times get tough.

Many people who are actively involved in Psych Central find it helps take them out of their own problems to develop empathy for others. And their problems though still there are more manageable.

Glad you are joining us here. There are lots of compassionate people here that can make the load lighter by sharing and caring. Feel free to participate actively at Psych Central.

Some people find the forums give them the compassion and empathy they seek. http://forums.psychcentral.com

Please feel free to private message me or any of the Community Liaisons by left clicking on the name in blue to the left of their post) for questions or just to share.

Thank you. Yes it's still affecting me but as you said stick at it. Always helpful to know that people are willing to help me and others through. Means so much!
