I'm going to make this short b/c need to head to bed, but are there any other widows here? Widowed three weeks ago today.

Yes, I too am widowed. It has been 6 months since my spouse passed away. Joined this forum today in the hopes of help and support for this dark time in life.

I offer sincere condolences to you.

I can say that it sucks just as much for men, as I've been a widower for the past 6 months.

Wishing for a better life for you in the future, because I know what you are going through now!

I am also a widow. Its 2yrs now and time has not really healed me from the pain and grief of his passing.

It was his 65th birthday and we had been out to dinner. We walked home along the sea front and made plans for our retirement together. We had money saved and planned to travel more. We got home about 11pm and made love.

I got up to get a drink and 10mins later he came into the living room complaining of chest pain. Within 10 minutes he was dead. The ambulance arrived and medics tried their best but I knew he had gone.

I had him home for a few days before the funeral and would talk to him each day. I even slept on the sofa next to his coffin. I wasn't ready to let him go. I have his ashes at home and still talk to him for comfort.

Its so hard to carry on each day. All our plans, all the love we had - now gone. The money we had saved for our travels went on his funeral.

I miss him so much. For other widows, I feel for you and know the list of emotions you are going through. I send love & healing for you.
