Hello and welcome!
please know that there is a lot of people here that care, and we sort of have become an extended family for each other, so you can count on an extended family at least.

Kisha there is nothing wrong with finding this difficult to cope with. Other people are saying there might have been some intervention that saved you, do you feel that is the case? If so I would definitely accept it as something special in your life. If not you should realize that your life is special anyway, because you are alive. I believe everyone's life is special, life itself is special.

I hope there are people that you can talk to openly about your feelings about this. Are you seeing a doctor or therapist? That might help. Also don't feel the need to hide your feelings. Not all people may be comfortable talking about it but you will find true friends who will support you and may become a sort of family for you. Maybe you can find a support group of other accident survivors in your area.

The great thing about this community is that we all deal with strong emotional influences here and very often physical problems... so this is a good place to get the understanding you need and to feel free to talk about anything you want to. This tragedy may always be a part of who you are but it does not limit the potential of a happy and successful future for you. Seeking help and understanding is something I feel is the most important step toward that. Welcome to the forums.
