Thanks Llama and CandyC, I just miss her.

She'd had a horrible time of it before she came to me and I tried to make it up to her but I couldn't "save" her and she couldn't live a normal life

Oh whispershadow that is such a beautiful celebration of Ebony's life with you! You gave Ebony 4 years of being loved and having a wonderful home. That is such a great gift for you to give them. I feel they are eternally grateful for all the love you showed them.

I love the picture near the end of Ebony crawling inside a bag. They seem so playful. Lovely video thanks for sharing.

I am so, so sorry. You are not alone...and neither is Ebony. You gave her love that will last forever.

Ebony was such a wonderful girl, despite having gone through hell all she wanted was to feel safe and loved, she had kittens but most of them died, only two survivors who got rehomed together, idk where her boys are and I know she missed them for a long time, just like she missed her boyfriend Tom when he died

Ebony hid in her tunnel because she thought that nobody could see her in there (despite her bottom sticking out of it) that was taken months before she got poorly

I thought of you today Ebony while I was at work. I miss you more than words can say.

I wrote this about how I first met Ebony:

I remember the day when we first met. Me and Mum had gone to the rescue to say hello to the volunteers there because I used to volunteer there a few years previously.

We had a look round just to say hello to everyone there and I remember you were in one of the bottom cages (you always hated getting picked up). One of the volunteers let you out into the room for some excercise and me and Mum stood back to give you space because you thought about coming out but weren't sure about the scary new people who had come into the room.

I remember you slowly came out when you knew you had some space and your first concern was where your kittens were so you chose to check on them in their cage before you decided to come over and say hello to us. You were an excellent mum to your two surviving kittens.

I know you had a horrible time of it before the rescue saved your life, and if I could rewind into the past and give you the life you deserved right from the start I would do so in a heartbeat

I remember, like me, Mum fell completely under your spell <3 even before we knew about the abuse you suffered at the hands of low-life scumbags

We talked about it over the next few days, I remember, and luckily for me and you we decided you were coming home with us. We went back to the rescue on the 1st January after you had been pulled out from being available for adoption because your health had taken a nose-dive You were to and from the vet for several months before we could bring you home and we had a lot of waiting around before you finally got the all clear from the vet. You literally saved me, Ebony. You were my night in shining armour, sweetpea. <3
