Do ppl understand when you flake while grieving? My dad passed away a month and a half ago and I often don’t feel like doing anything. I’m feeling depressed.

Thanks for this!

Hi Tangerine87. I am sorry for the loss of your dad. It sounds like it hit you hard because you don't feel like doing anything.

There are no easy answers, but grief support groups helped me deal with the loss of my dad. It seemed at first like I was in shock, but I finally looked at what my expectations were. I guess when someone dies, the things we secretly hope for are gone and somehow we need to find new goals and a new life.

Sometimes it takes a professional to get through that, but sometimes we can start new things that get us moving again. In my case, exercises, mindfulness, yoga and Tai Chi all helped. Who else can you talk to about your loss ?

I understand. I did that myself. Grief can do that to a person.
