Hi everybody. I am sad to say that my cousin's 17 year old son was killed by a train yesterday. He was standing near the security arm that lowers when the city train is coming and he leaned out to see if it was coming and got hit by the on-coming train.
The body is being flown to his home province of Newfoundland for burial. Please be with me as I try to deal with this from a distance. I cannot bee there for the wake. Thank you. |

Thank you Cthomas. The family is waking the boys now. I feel so helpless being so far away from them all. I wish I was there. I feel like crying most of the time.

Thanks, Rainbow and Clyde. I am feeling more together now. I had my moment and I spoke to family. I am feeling lucky now and cautious. I have asked my own sons to write down on paper what their wishes would be in case of an accident. I will have it brought to a lawyer and then place it in a safety deposit box at the bank. My will needs updating also. For now, I am feeling peaceful. I still hurt for my cousins though.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I think losing kids has to be the hardest thing in the world. again I am sorry for your loss.

It feels strange as teh days pass on. Now i have an Uncle who crushed his right hand in an unsafe environment at work. There will be lawsuits, but right now, they are trying to save his hand. We heard that all teh ligaments and bones are crushed so he might lose his hand. We are just thankful he is alive. Too much in one week. I am very apathetic right now. It is hard to feel anything other than numb.
