lifetime best girfriend was killed in a car accident last night. She was like a 2nd daughter.
My daughter is a mess as are the rest of us. It's as if her soul mate was just ripped away from her. They were planning to move out together in a few months. They traveled together. They were best friends, and now she's gone. I'm still in shock myself. It could just as easily been my daughter. It is so painful. I feel physically sick. Best, Okie

I am so sorry. It just rips my hear out when young lives are lost. I can not even fathom what you and your daughter or the young ladies family is going through. I am just so sorry.
Take care of yourself and your daughter. Give her lots of hugs you'll both need it.

Awww, no I don't think you'll die of grief. When my father died I cried in the fetal position for at least a week. Grieving takes a while, you'll be okay.
On the other hand I do think that when an older couple losses their life long partner they will die of a broken heart. It happened to my Aunts grandparents they were in their late 80's early 90's. They passed within two months of each other. But no that is not your situation you will be okay and you must be strong for your daughter and her friends mother. Take care.

Tomorrow is the funeral. I am so tired and so sad. I think will take a box of Kleenex with me, as all I will do all afternoon is cry.
