I got a call this morning from my mom sayng that my grandmother on my step-dad's side passed away during the night. I never had the chance to become close with her so, harsh as this may sound, my loss is pretty insignificact. My step-dad on the other hand is an absolute mess. He was VERY close to his mom and I feel for him. I was hoping that everyone could send out good thoughts or prayers or whatever for him to ease his pain. He's a good man and shouldn't have to hurt this way. Thanks.

Ryan

I know how you feel Ryan. My grandfather in law passed away last May. He wasn't a very nice person to my FIL, whom I love dearly. It was hard to be sad at the funeral. But I did hurt for my FIL.

You're all in my thoughts.

Thanks guys. My dad (well, step-dad but you know) is doing as well as one could expect. I'm planning on calling him later to see how he's doing. He's not much of a phone talker so mom thought it would be best to give him a day or so before calling him. Thanks for the good thoughts. I know he'd appreciate it.
