Well, here I sit, just thinking about how this past year of the stresses of unemployment, depression and anxiety have effected all my general health.

today I have to go pick up a special 3 day diet and a 'pee speciman bottle' from my doctor's lab to do a 3 hour fasting glucose tolerance test for this coming Monday. I will possibly get a dx of pre-diebetes. Who would have thunk But for the past 6 months or so I've been craving comfort foods, I've gained more than 20 pounds since last August...I've been living with my head in the sand

last week I had a kidney function test done, my third one which showed abnormal levels, so from what I've been able to calculate, I have stage 3 kidney failure. Probably due to a lot of Celebrex due to aches and pains. Now what do I do - oh poor me lol

I didn't think I would go down that road...I've been mostly healthy all my life. I go see my family doc on Tuesday next week and the kidney doc in mid July.

Stress really does take its toll on physical health and that sucks

Just looking for a little support here Sorry to be such a drag

((((((((((((((Heygimm)))))))))))))) I'm so sorry you are struggling. Have you considered alternative therapy (herbal medicine, etc)? Sometimes that can be a viable alternative to western medicine as it often goes to the root of the problem instead of just dealing with the symptoms. Best of luck to you and please keep us posted.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, hope it gets better soon and you are not a drag, we all need to vent once in a while (I happen to vent practically everyday, lol)
Thanks for this!

Thank you both for your support.

I picked up the special diet I need to follow for 3 days prior to the glucose tolerance test. Guess what I get to eat? Carbs, carbs and more carbs

the list has foods like pizza, chocolate milk, pie, ice cream, cake, buns, bread, pasta, rice and potatoes! of course, it is to push me over a healthy number of carbs to see how my body reacts --- just when I'm starting to lose weight --- since June 3, I've droped 3.5 pounds, as my goal is 1 to 2 pounds each week.

And I'm not to exersize at all. I usually kayak 2 times each week for 2 plus hours. And walk a little as well. I'll only miss Saturday as for my kayaking.

Thanks again for your support, venting is maybe an important part of not keeping it all bottled up.
