SO i have been having pain the last couple of days in my lower front teeth.

Last night while brushing i looked and there is a brown small hole between them right at the bottom Its most definetly a large cavity/tooth rot. ugh, and the one to the left of it also has an even smaller brown spot. I admit i dont have the best dental hygeine.. combine that with a whopping fear of dentists.. and well its been a while. But i have to go now because im TERRIFIED im going to lose those FRONT TEETH!

So. I have two options:
Dentist A is heavy handed and brusk and makes me quite uncomfortable. However, he is one street away and I know i can get in today.

Dentist B is a sweetheart, very gentle, and good with people who hate the dentist, but hes not open today, so cannot see me until tomorrow.

Do I visit dentist A, today, or do you think I can stand to wait until tomorrow and see dentist b?

I just dont know

I guess the decision would have to be this -

If you need more of a dentist who is gentle and kind than you need to get pain relief for one day...then go tomorrow.

If the pain is more than you can stand and you need immediate relief - then go today.

(((((((((((((((((((( Bowzz ))))))))))))))))))))) I'm so sorry hon.

bad as you think . Have a good day Rainbowzz

I would go tomorrow... Unless the pain is really unbearable.
And don't worry, you're not going to lose your front teeth
Good luck

My choice would also be for tomorrow. The dentist trip for me is so traumatic that no matter how bad the pain was l would have to wait for the nice sensitive one.

Just be care ful with the pain killers and l hope this is sorted for you very very soon

I'd go for the nice gentle dentist. One day is probably not going to make that much difference in the grand scheme of things. But if you haven't been in a while, be prepared for bad news. I avoided going to the dentist for 10 years while I was drinking, and when I went I had to have 14 fillings done, as well as it taking two sessions with the hygenist to get the tarter scraped off. Not trying to scare you. Just be prepared for bad news.

Hope it's an easily fixable problem.

Do I visit dentist A, today, or do you think I can stand to wait until tomorrow and see dentist b?

I've used cashews to successfully help minimize tooth pain due to infection or abcess. Here's another list of home remedies that might tide you over until you can get in to see the nice dentist: Home Remedies - Dental Pain

Wow!..So cool!...Saved this to favorites..lol. Thanks SE. I'm a dentist phobic, as well...and anything that helps is welcomed.
Yay you!

Rain~ All will be fine. Definately choose the 'gental dental'..lol.
I can so personally relate to your fears, as I have to practically be dragged in to see dentist, too. Which reminds me...I needta go to her again...UGH!

There's no point in putting unnecessary anxiety on your already existing fears.....you'll never make it to see dentist, then.

Good luck. And once done, you'll realize you've made the right choice with Dentist B.

Take care~

Hi, I was also afraid of dentists...until I found a gentle dentist. They even offered a medication to take to lower your anxiety...you didn't "go to sleep" you were just very relaxed. Is there someone in your area that does that, or do you have a med that could help in the same way??
I would wait until tomorrow...just remember to take some deep breaths and know that you can tell them to stop at any time. It also helps to tell them that you have severe anxiety and they will be so much more sympathetic to you. It's amazing really how empathic people are when you open up to them.
Good luck,
Sherril
