took a walk to local shop yesterday about 200yds away not far slight incline half way then level, so coz i was so bored when we needed something yesterday i went , i found it quite dificult, its about time i took care of myself i need a good kick up the behind, looking into the next few months as winter comes i am looking at being home doing nothing and this will only make my health a lot worse i am at my heaviest i have ever been, i know we all have said before need to loose weight me included but i need some motivation, i just looked at our local Leisure center that others a range of fitness stuff and swimming i am seriously thinking of starting to do this, it will aid my weight loss as i will start to burn of those unwanted calories, i have allready stopped eating so much fried food and cut down on sugar in my hot drinks, i know there isnt much any one can say to this post but i needed to write it out so i could hear it for myself

((kathy))))) There are things that can be said. Incouragement for you to join the fitness center is one. I think swimming and excirse would help alot.
They have proved i think if you exrcise you are less hungrey. I know swimming does me a world of good. walking does. at times i jog. thats a stress relieve.
Even if you start walking 10 minutes a day , then raise it every week you will see a difference,
Good luck to you.....you can do it. ...

swimming and exercise are great. Also only drinking water instead of sugary drinks help. I couldn't cut soda completley so i drink diet soda. I tell myself its healthy. do a little bit of exercise everyday and once a week go to the leisure centre. Then after a while increase it.

Yes, coke, diet coke, pepsi, diet pepsi, lemonaid, anything carbonated is also hard on your teeth. It eats away at the enamel and makes caries more likely. I learned that. It's not so much the sugar as the carbonation. Of course, overdoing the sugar is not good, either.

In the winter you'll still want the hot drink occasionally. Do you like Horlicks? (sp) My family drinks that. Also, herbal teas are good. Tea has properties that actually prevent caries so substituting a decaf version is desirable. And the ever popular - what is that stuff - oh yes, Marmite in hot water when you have a cold. ooohhh- shiver I'm not a fan.

Drinking plenty of water is always a good idea. Hey, one mile is a good starter. Then two, etc. Don't over challenge yourself.

Here's to you!
