Guess that pretty well says it. Ppl think, ah veneers, how nice and fancy and rich looking. Anyone (including celebrity) that has this done just for the look is crazy! ooops lol well... really.

I haven't had the top teeth veneered yet... 2 more weeks. But the lower are done... and they aren't as even as my own teeth were (before I needed veneers) ... and the temporaries I have on the top aren't even white so there's a marked difference in top and bottom teeth right now. (don't smile lady!)

Also, you have to have your teeth shaved down UGH to little mayan pyramids... the grinder tool and drill... and flakes of what enamel was left flying in the water spray... (which also goes up your nose) But you will always have to have veneers or crowns from that point on....

The temporaries can pop off. The veneers can still wear down and crack. I can't have the acrylic because I'm allergic..so it's porcelain for me... and you can't use abrasive toothpaste. So much to remember.

I really wanted to have something good for me out of all this turmoil... that I actually will have teeth again... and all that entails being able to chew better, maybe not so much tmj pain, and already less nerve pain in teeth because they're covered...

but because 70% of ppl have off set lower teeth the DMD offset mine... even though they were always perfect line... now when I smile, the line in my lip (center) is in the middle of a tooth in the middle of my lower jaw! Can't I have anything nice?

God has nasty ways of keeping me humble. I guess I'll stop whining now. Veneers aren't all they're cracked up to be

That sounds a stressful experience. Maybe you could write down all the instructions, so that you have less risk of confusing them or forgetting them. I hope the surgery for the next teeth goes well, and that you find some benefit from it eventually. Perhaps it is too soon yet to see the advantages of the operation.
