The whole arena of migraine triggers is so fascinating, each of us so individual in what triggers us. And then sometimes by the time we figure out our triggers, they have changed on us. i have a migraine today

Cigarette smoke is my most reliable trigger. Fortunately cigarette smoke isn't allowed in as many places, I remember when teachers smoked in classrooms. But we still chance exposure, sometimes walking out of a building means we walk right into a cluster of smokers.

Keeping records for awhile on when we have migraines, our cycles if we are female, our activities and possible triggers, does help immensely. Gives us something to control too, in the face of the otherwise seemingly uncontrollable.

Lots of good info out there on migraines caused by hormonal shifts, I've read that they are thought to cause 60% of migraines in women.

Here's to a pain free day for us all,
Sarah
