Since harvest season has started, my allergies are irritating my acid reflux. I feel horrible. I am tired of being sick. To top it off I had a boil to come up between my right shoulder and neck and it is giving me fits. I am having a love affair with the bathroom. LOL. I seem to live in there. When I go somewhere, I considering where the nearest bathroom is. Plus, my tmj is bothering me. I have to watch what I take because of high blood pressure.

It is terrible having medical problems with mental problems because I feel all messed-up. My mental state is blah. Couldn't think of a better word. Just needed to rant.

I am able to relate so much to having mental problems and physical problems together. At times I have experienced a fight with finding a family physician who will actually look over the mental and into the physical problems.

Are you on any medications for your acid reflux or allergies? I take Zyrtec (Generic) for year round allergies and Protonix (Generic) For GERD and recently had a cyst removed from my abdomen and still have the stitches in so I feel for you and hope that you get to feeling better soon all the way around.
Take Care, KK101

(((((( Donna )))))))) I am sorry you are having all these health challenges. I understand all too well about acid. I have lived with severe acid in my body for 2 1/2 years. So much so that I can eat very few foods and I get blood blisters in my mouth. Proton pump inhibitors do nothing However, there is something that has helped a bit. And supposedly if I used it correctly it would help much more on a long term basis as it changes my pH. I dont know if you are interested. If you are I will tell you more. I am sorry you are suffering physically For me when my mental state gets worse, the acid does also. Right now its much worse. Had three blood blisters just yesterday. The stress = acid pumping through my digestive system. Sending healing blessings your way

KK101 I am glad that medications are working for you. Glad you are healing from the removal of the cyst. I know it all can be quite a challenge, indeed.

I am on medications for both my allergies and acid reflux. I think they need adjusting though. I have a doctor's appointment Tuesday. The doctor has been wanting to test me for ulcers, so I guess I will go ahead and be tested. Thanks for the replies.

I hate that when everything conspires against us, even the meds we need, often using more of some of mine give me additional symptoms/side effects like the acid reflux. I'm in pretty good shape at the moment, the Vitamin D my doctor prescribed seems to be doing a lot of good.

I have had GERD since was little and use Protonix for years, which is fortunately still working. The new Gast/ENT doc asked more about my hayfever allergies after telling him about the frequent trips to the bathroom; he sent me for allergy testing. Turns out I have food allergies too, more like intolerances, that cause irritable bowel syndrome. I cut out those foods or minimized them, world changed. Didn't affect the GERD unfortunately, but feel better and no more frequent trips to the loo.

The one thing that seemed to bring some relief from acid is a prduct called Alka-trace developed by Dr Theodore Baroody. Its alkalizing drops that are put in drinking water. For some it can actually resolve the problem in a year. But for me the prob is anxiety based. So it can only help. It cannot completely resolve it. I am having an exacerbation of the acid currently probably because I am having to treat parasites. Using homeopathic treatment along with oregano (in a carrier) on the soles of my feet. Perhaps I do have hay fever also. Didnt know there is a correlation between acid and hay fever. Good to know. I am trying to increase vitamin D to 2000 iu a day. The new recommended dosage for people who are not in the sun a lot.

Just to clarify, there is not a correlation between acid and hayfever. The hayfever allergies were an indication of possible other food allergies causing other GI issues, irritable bowel syndrome, not acid reflux; though some foods do aggrevate acid reflux, it is not allergies, and not hayfever. There was an earlier mention of going to bathroom frequently, sometimes this is another disorder, not acid reflux related, was relating other causes for relief, just to clarify.
