I know the title does not fit the forum but it is freaking me out. All I think is "DVT DVT". But my legs are swollen. They don't hurt. And when I push on them with my thumb, no indention is left. But they feel tight and weird. I sat up all night on the internet in my desk chair so I hope I did'nt mess my circulation up. The reason I was up all night was from anxiety and pain. Had a doctors appt today with my GP. She said my heart was beating fast (I drove myself all the way up there in panic mode cause of my legs) and did an EKG which came out normal. I hope that does'nt have anything to do with my legs. i hate this fear!!! i forgot to say anything to my doc about it. I don't know Any suggestions????

I'd put a call into my doctor and tell her about your legs. You're obviously "driving yourself crazy" worrying about them. Your heart is okay, evidently, since the EKG came out fine. I don't know what time it is where you are, but leave a message if you need to....Your leg muscles just might be tight from the position you were sitting in--and your worrying might be making it worse. I'm not a medical doctor, but I suspect it's nothing major. But I can understand your concern. Try to do things to keep your mind off it until you can talk to/see the doctor about it. Okay?
Thanks for this!

Thanks Payne1. I called my aunt who has been director of nursing scine, well, forever for me and she told me to lay on the bed with my legs up and it will help and it did. I tend to freak out over every little thing that happens to me

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear that you're doing well now. I tend to get a bit keyed up myself sometime with health worries.....
Thanks for this!

Try to let go of the DVT fear! Most times (like 99.999999% of the time), DVT is in ONE leg...not both. So both legs would not swell with DVT, most of the time.

I recently had both my legs swell up on a drive home from Oregon...over the mountains, into the heat. As soon as I got home and put my legs up, the swelling went down.

Yeah I called her nurse too and she said when you sit for long periods of time, fluid builds up. And unless my legs got hot and swollen and painful to not worry. Oh and I don't really like salt lol. My husband salts his saltine crackers haaha his doc said b/c of his crohns he's missing nutrients and that is why he craves it. But for me, salt masks the taste of food.

Yeah that happened to me on a 25 hour no stop drive from Orlando. It freaked me out then too. I'm easy to freak out hen it comes to my health. My sister and husband says I'm a hypochondriac. My uncle had DVT and the clot broke off and wen to his lung. It did'nt kill him but it almost did, I gues that's what scares me so much about that. Cause he was just laying in bed with my aunt watching T.V. and all of the sudden could'nt breathe. He thought it was a panic attack so he walked around cause that helps him when he has panic attacks and he almost died. Just the thought of something doing that with no warning is scary. I guess it's all about control in my mind.
