How do you cure these with out cranberry juice? I am very allergic to cranberries..I eat/drink them and immediately break out in hives. I have a phone call in to my doctor to see what they say. It isn't a full blown bladder infection as it doesn't hurt to pee but I find myself just finishing going potty and having to go again.

Water. Drink a great deal of water. Go to the bathroom frequently, even if you don't feel the urge. Minimum of every hour. Wipe properly. This will not "cure" an infection, but it can help prevent an irritation from becoming a full blown infection.

Oh, this sounds odd, but in the middle of the night I was symptomatic and out of Azo so Zorah told me to drink some white vinegar, it really did help.

I'd go to the doctor and get on the correct medication. Nip it in the bud.

Good advice so far with the baking soda and vinegar. Don't mix together though because my kids took this afternoon Mad Science class and they made explosive rockets by mixing vinegar and baking soda lol. If you think an infection is starting, you should go on antibiotics. Another thing you should add regularly to your diet is yogurt or acidopholis supplements.

More tips - don't wait long to pee and when you pee, be patient and let it all come out - some people are in a hurry and stop peeing before they're done. Another valuable tip is - if a woman takes a bath and her lower area is unclean (obviously) - this bacteria circulates in the bath water. I rarely take baths, but if I do, I make sure to wash the lower half quickly in the shower and I clean the bath tub 1st. Also don't use any bubble bath products or oils in the bath. If a woman is sexually active - both partners should be clean first and the woman should pee after sex to flush any bacteria which could be in/around the urethra. I hope you feel better soon.

Infections are bacteria and need antibiotics to be "cured". Other than that, drinking a lot of water can help but you probably should go to your doctor; there's a lot of other things that could be right/wrong; one's insides aren't quite that straightforward.

Cranberries are very acidic, and inhibit bacteria from sticking around. Would you be allergic to cranberry pills? They may be easier for you.

I hope your doctor can be of help - there are also daily antibiotics that can help. The only problem with antibiotics is developing a resistance to them, which happens frequently if you have enough infections. You may need a referral to a urologist, there could be internal reasons for frequent infections.

I called my doctor and he put me on an antibiotic and I am still going a lot. Some of it could be that I am on my period and I find that when it is that time of the month I go a lot more. I am almost done with my antibiotic so we will see what happens when I quit that. If after the antibiotic is done and my period is done I continue to pee a lot I will make an appointment to see him.
