Any help much appreciated. I have this skin condition on my body and face. I have creams for my body and they help, but my face is a mess. Its getting me down a bit.

There is some information in the link. Its probably all stuff you know though if you have had this for awhile.

My father has it and he was helped greatly from phototherapy. It goes over the different types of phototherapy in that link. None of the topicals or cortico-steroids helped my dad but the light therapy did.

Gem,

Thanks, this phototherapy thing sounds good. I do know that when I go abraod the sun makes a world of difference. In Scotland sunshine is limited and as its winter here anyway, its just cold, wet and dark!

This has given me a little hope.

Here is a silly question, would going to one of these tanning salons for a sun bed help? I wonder. I think i will ask the doc about that. I dont know if these places use UV a or b light?

My Dad uses the tanning beds atg, and it helps him. They use UV light. Just make sure you are careful not to burn.

If it's a bad case..you should be seen by a Doc...who then can prescribe a steroidal cream. I have a little psoriasis on my elbows. Elocon cream from the Doc...cleared it right up. Ask him for over the counter suggestions too. The thicker the cream...the better the healing!
