(((hugs))) I don't know how your speech is at this point, but a speech program helps me immensely on those days and weeks when my hands refuse to cooperate.

Asking why, while allowed, never seems to get me very far in my thinking. It is what it is. Maybe there was a different trial before this one. Would you exchange this trial for another trial instead? Not that we get that choice.

Support groups are important for MS, imo. Others who have been at the point you are, others who aren't as learned as you, yet.

Warm water helps with hands. Limit your stress as much as you can ... I hope you have ppl who help and support you IRL. Thanks for giving us an update, you will feel better and be able to share more with us in the future. trouble with hands TC

Oh Monty!!

((((((((((((((( Monty )))))))))))))))))

Sky and Rose have given you wonderful advice. Use the warm water and also, try holding warm oven mits over your hands or holding a heating pad. Also, melted wax therapy helps. You can buy them now instead of having to go to PT for it.

Can you possible get a spoken program like Sky has? It would be wonderful for you.

I'm here if you need anything. Just let me know.

Hugs,

Jan

(((((((((((((((((((((( hugs back at ya Sky ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

My speech has it's good and bad days. Some days it's slurred and I have trouble with getting the right words. I might try and see if I can get a speech program hooked up to my computer at work. Might help with the stress of getting my work done. Friday I couldn't even sign my name to my charts.

Think I still swim in the river denial. I still can't except the fact that it's MS. Guess I'm not ready. Then my body will remind me.

There's a support group in the next town at a rehab hospital. So far I haven't had the courage to go. But maybe soon.

Hey today I tied my shoes trouble with hands

TY Rose

I found one that I might check out more. They had some good information on pain that was really interesting. Was like WOW, I know what they are talking about.

Heating pad sounds wonderful right now. trouble with hands

I have CPR training in the morning and I don't know how the h*** I'm going to be able to pass the test. Maybe they'll let me just run through it without having to push down hard with my hand and arm. It's just a refresher class so maybe they will be easy on me. trouble with hands

Sigh, for a signature, you can get a stamp made. Yeah, I hate having to compensate too. Don't put off the support group for MS. Also, join the National MS Society if you haven't already. There is so much data and help out there! (I borrow a wheelchair free from the local society, when it's available.)
