I've managed to finally up my energy levels during the day. Wellbutrin and concerta are my stimulants, and I take a sachet of some energy stuff. Even if I get to bed around 9, waking up at 6AM is nearly impossible. I literally cannot open my eyes for longer than 2 seconds. My body is almost paralysed and I cannot get up. Took me 30mins today to get up.
I have to get up in time for work.
I don't feel terribly tired by the time I get to sleep in the evening.

Turbovite.
A lot of vitamins and ginseng/guarana I think.
Slightly better this AM, but still feel so drained.

Have you ever been tested for sleep apnea?

No, not necessarily. It is something that be difficult to detect without being tested, but can make the world of difference once treated if it turns out that is the case.

Would I not be gasping for air once I do realise that I have not been breathing?

Thank you. I'm glad your morning was better.
Are you getting enough water? Have you had your thyroid level checked?

I had a full blood test done in about October and apparently nothing was out of line. It would have been nicer if something had been wrong and I'd had a possible problem to pinpoint

Do you exercise at all? I have a really hard time waking up in the morning too and don't know why. But I don't exercise and I remember when I did last year with a whole routine it didn't seem as hard getting up in the morning. Exercise is supposed to give you more energy.
Lame, I know.

Exercise will also make you sleep better at night. My morning wake-up stimulant is not a medication, it is a shower!

There are so many issues for a good nights sleep. Sleep apnea is one of them. To suffer from sleep apnea - i understand it's different for men and women - a person is usually overweight. Do you have a weight problem? Do you suffer from acid reflux? What do you eat and drink before going to bed? Alcohol can make you sleepy but it negatively affects your quality of sleep. Consistent poor sleep can be attributed to drinking alcohol before bed. Likewise, so can drinking caffeinated beverages and acidic beverages like sodas before bed affect sleep quality.

I've never considered Wellbutrin a stimulant. Maybe your doses of anti-d's are too high? That would result in your body's need for excessive sleep. Have you discussed this problem with your prescribing doc? If not, please do asap.

No, I don't have a weight issue (approx 53kg and 1.65m tall) I do usually have some alcohol before bed, but it does help to unwind me too. I really try to avoid caffeine at all costs, even during the day. Maybe 2 cups of coffee a week.

hi. please be aware that alcohol affects one's sleep - especially dreams. it will cause unsettled, less restful sleep. also, alcohol should not be mixed with anti-d's. they work against each other - alcohol is a drug and it is classified as a depressant. please seriously re-consider your use of alcohol.
