There was a black hard object, I'm like going paranoid about it if it might kill me or something. It looks like a peanut piece, but its all dark and stuff, does my peanut butter have some bad thing in it, or just a burnt peanut. Do they roast peanuts or cook peanuts before they put it in peanut butter or what? o.O

Yes, everything is cooked; raw peanuts will make you sick. With peanut butter, you're lucky, I think you can just take out that unsavory looking whatever it is and that will be the end of it; it won't have spread.

If you didn't eat it then you should be fine. Peanut butter is mass produced as are most of our foods and sometimes foreign objects get in them. Today I found a rock in a can of red kidney beans. At first I thought it was a loose black bean but it was a rock. I can understand why you might want to throw that jar of peanut butter out. If it will make you feel better, do it.

If you don't trust it, take the jar of PB back to the grocery.....they will be glad to exchange it for another jar that you will know is safe (until you find something in it...lol)

The peanuts have been blanched, crushed, and homogenized so any foreign object would be too; I bet it is just a bit of skin from a peanut, quite good for you actually: http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/10/w...nut-skins.html
