Got home from ER about half an hour ago (after 1 a.m.). My right leg is 3 times the size of my left one, and the more I walk on it, the more it hurts. I had planned to just stick it out till my Friday appt. at the thrombo clinic, but got talked out of that.
Well, they didn't find a clot, but neither do they have an explanation for the pain and swelling. I could have saved the taxpayers of MN a helluva lot of $$ by just staying off it and keeping it elevated, which is the sum total of the advice I got for my 6 hours of time. If anyone has had any experience with idiopathic leg swelling and pain, please gimme a holla. In the meantime, I'm going to bed. ![]() CB |

My legs swell if I have been sitting at the computer too long. basically the blood goes in and in and less comes back up because of pressure points from the way I am sitting. my doctors advice - stop sitting so long at the computer. LOL legs need exercise to keep the circulation worknig correctly because unlees I am laying down the legs and feet are the lowest point on my body. like water goes downhill so does blood and like water my sitting was acting like a dam blocking the way of the normal waterway. So when I notice my feet start swelling I now spend less time sitting and more time walking and biking in my spare time. not only has my feet swelling been a less of an occance but I am starting to lose the winter weight I gained.
