About a month ago my boyfriend invited me to come with him to a co-worker's wedding. Its this Friday. I almost said I couldn't go, because I'm playing in a big tournament out of town this weekend and have to leave at 7am Saturday morning. THEN I find out that my friend's one year anniversary is Friday too, and he's picking up a chip at the 5:30 meeting. The wedding is at 5. So I tell my boyfriend I've got a problem and explain it and he's like "but I already RSVP'd". I'm frustrated because I don't even know the people getting married. I'm wishing I had never said I'd go in the first place. Grrrrrrrrrr......................

Sometimes life does not work out the way we want it. I don't mean to say that in a snotty way. Its just that sometimes I find that I have too many commitments in one day and then I have to pick. It usually means making somebody unhappy. But, I have to weigh my options and go with what my heart tells me to do. Of course, I understand your frustration. I too get frustrated with things like this.

Thanks to both of you. Frustrated I actually did find a solution....the cremony won't last past 6, so I can run over and at least see my friend on his anniversary. So its working out as best it can. And then I'll stay for the 7:30 meeting and go home to bed, so I at least get a meeting in before the trip.

sounds like you've worked out a good solution - it can get really complicated with multiple committments.
