No chicken pox but the real reason i went to the doctor was for my digestive system.. I am not absorbing food anymore... Basically i crap water and chewed up food. The stool smells of vinigar every time. I am dehydrated i can tell cause i feel like i got one big hang over. The more times i try to drink more water the worse my stool gets. Its not the meds cause its been around for months just now its gotten so bad that nothing is absorbed. Nothing is digested, and im in constant state of gas pain and running to the bathroom.. My doc is taking knotice. He is running a batch of test ranging from thyroid test, to lithium test, to even celiacs disease (cost the state a pretty penny). I requested the 3rd to the 7th off from work (saying family reunion) to rest. I told my doc that i am sick of being sick and that the way my body is now i predict im not going to last a year. I have lost so much weight that i sag in my arms. I look 30 years older and im only 19.

I guess i been lucky in the family by not getting sick but now i guess my luck ran out

Were these symptoms of sudden onset?..I am glad that your physician is working you up, and that you are taking time to rest. The digestive system is a delicate system that can be affected acutely by all sorts of things. Mine shuts down occasinally, and sets off visits to the ED room for IV fluids..the longest it has lasted was 6 weeks..so if this just started be prepared to keep in close contact with your Doc, and if you have the symptoms of dehydration this is especially important. The last bout of my Gut issue, I lost 30 lbs, it is very frustrating and scarey...dont give up hope, let the Doc work this thru with you, and hopefully he/she will be able to give you some answers after further testing...but sometimes these digestive things fix themselves and they never figure out why they occurred in the first place unless it happens repeatadly...again, I do hope you feel better soon, and I am so sorry you are in such obvious pain and distress...hope your drug reaction is better today...not so much itching and discomfort, altough it sounds as if you have enough just with the digestive issue..yuck

Got the blood test results in and all came up negative. They are still running test on the stool. Its so bad right now that my head is none stop pain.. When the doc palpatate my abdomen it was shocks of pain. I have been running to and from the bathroom most of today. I was inthe bathroom 6 times at work for just liquid stools (and thats from the time span of 8 to 12pm) I cant see strait and im tired. If my headache gets worse tonite i am going to go back to the ER.

BD, you need to be put in the hospital for IV rehydration. While there, you need to be seen and tested by a gastroenterologist. That is a Dr who's speciality is digestive disorders.

Go to the ER and see if they will admit you. I've been in your shape. It's a miserable existence. I hope you feel better really soon.

Hugs,

Jan
