I fell backwards, out of my wheelchair and landed in a heap. I've got a sore neck and a bad right shoulder right now that really really hurts.

Any suggestions? Not bad enough to go the doctor, and I'm popping some Advil to see if that helps but is there some sort of OTC stuff that could help?

Heating packs, ice packs etc?

And please don't tell me to take it easy on it - wheeling around is my only course of action! lol

I hate hate doctors... nothing is broken, probably just stretched too far... will see if any bruises make an appearance - none yet. Just a really bad headache/neckache - hurts to turn my head or keep it up.

If it gets worse tomorrow I'll go the doctor two days from now.

thanks bebop Fell!

I was going to take today to make sure that I was in enough pain to make it worthwhile going.

Update - No more neck pain, but my shoulder still really bugs me.

Thanks PasDeDeux but my neck pain has gone away - its just my shoulder (hence wheeling) that is annoying me right now.

Fell! Sorry that I worry you - its midnight now - how about if its no better later today after I go to sleep and wake up again I'll go to the doctor? I really don't like going. Fell!

Fell! Fell!

Is not different!! Fell!

I can wheel just fine without going to the doctors - what a waste of time and don't like being touched. Ugh. And I've been good, I haven't even had a pain pill yet. Fell!

Fell! Really it is different because it's my fear of doctors not yours Fell! and you DO need to move around. So we had a deal, though I hope tomorrow you are better and can skip it.

*grumbles* Fell!

Very well - I could just stretch the truth and say I was better enough so I didn't have to go to the doctors. Fell!

Nah. I won't do that. Fell! Thanks ((Pas))

Hello everyone - a few of you harassed me (told me nicely) to go to the doctor so I went this morning.

I have a sprained shoulder. So it'll take a week or two for it to get better on its own, or I could consider physiotherapy.

Thanks everyone for your concern but I'm alright.

Of course you are alright - but that won't stop us worrying (or telling you to see a doc Fell! )

You said not to say that you should take it easy, so I won't (for now) - but I will say take care. So there!!

Hope you sprained shoulder feels better soon!!

And ... take it easy ....... ok? Fell!
