Thanks for the well wishes..... and how I do wish it was just the weather, but it is not - the weather just helps it out in the pain area - Eeeek!!
I am a little better today, but my right ankle is so swollen that I have having trouble getting around the house.... I hope this new RA Rx that I started about a month ago kicks in soon - but it can take up to 3 months for the level to get high enough to make a difference.
Oh and did I mention that my head hurts so bad that I am having trouble seeing out of my right eye... Sigh!

Hang in there.... for some Hope

Hi Rhapsody,
I'm sorry you're in so much pain. The headache with the pain in the eye may be from lack of sleep. At least that's what I get when I don't get the sleep I need. Maybe a nap will allieviate it?
Sorry to hear about your ankle-I hope it feels better soon. Does Tiger Balm help at all? I love that stuff-as far as I'm concerned it's a miracle potion of sorts.
Pain & RA (Rheumatioid Arthritis) I'm sorry you're in so much pain.

Yeah they have me seeing a Neuro Doc next month to see what else might be going one, for my head hurts 10x more when I lay my head down on a pillow..... and because my Rheumy Doc thinks it might be my RA that has effected my head as well - so they are checking it all out as to rule out this it or that before they make a final decision, but from my side of the fence (10 years strong) my RA does effect me literally from head to toe.

Ok - I have been doing research on my present medical problems with RA & Fibro and this is what I have come up with.... I HAVE BOTH of THEM!!, and this is the list of symptoms one may suffer from and I have all of them but one (and the one I have not yet been Dx with (TMJ) might be what is causing my present eye / face pain) - go figure.

* * * * * * * * *

*Fatigue:

*Emotional Liability: cry more easily, be more anxious and fearful.

*Depression:

*Low Thyroid Function:

*Gastrointestinal Problems: IBS

*Swollen Glands, Chemical & Light Sensitivity, Headaches:

*Chronic Pain:

*Fibromyalgia: more pain involved

*Low Blood Sugar: (not for sure about this one)

*Candida Yeast Infections: Sinus infections

*Tingling hands, Ringing ears, Cold toes, Cold fingers: Caused by poor circulation and who knows what.

*Overdoing: You overwork when your are feeling good, and then feel worse for days afterward.

*Fluttering Heart, Panic Attacks, Rapid Heartbeat, Mitral Valve Prolapse: low blood pressure

*Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction Syndrome: TMJ - tremendous jaw-related face and head pain.

*Short Term Memory Loss: memory loss and forgetfulness is common in autoimmune diseases.

* * * * * * * * * *

That's a long list Pain & RA (Rheumatioid Arthritis) Ok... one thing at a time?) See a specialist dentist for your TMD. A good splint will do wonders for the pain... if it's more severe, then you'll need surgery too. The tinnitus could be from the tmd...

How much of your list can be placed under RA and how much under fibromyalgia? Perhaps do that kind of a balance sheet will help you look at it differently?

I've heard, but not yet studied, that fibromyalgia, being an auto immune disorder, can be improved or eliminated by diet... sure would be nice, I guess.

Your candida can be diet also, and or allergy (which can also be sinus, fibro etc.) and your memory loss can be improved with good diet too...

The overdoing part? Yeah, you must pace yourself. Life becomes a toss up... do you do something you really want to do, and pay the price later (all up-front knowing) or pass? It is really hard to stop while you're still feeling ok.
I don't have fibro but CMP... I don't wear any braces or splints when physically doing something, to help me stop sooner and not suffer. Of course, lately, I haven't done anything really physical...just can't pay the price Pain & RA (Rheumatioid Arthritis)

It's a tough long haul from the looks of it... I continue to attack my "list" ...

((((hugs)))) What do you want me to say now? Pain & RA (Rheumatioid Arthritis)

The TMJ is the only difference between the RA & Fibro list..... all if those items are from both disorders, so OUCH!!
The TMJ is only listed under the Fibro, but I have yet to be Dx with it.... they are looking into it.

What can YOU say.............. How About? - YOU are HEALED

Please trust me when I say a low carb diet will help the pain of fibro immensely. It also worked with my ankylosing spondylitis. I have since fell off the no carb diet because of my colitis, but while I consumed next to no carbs I was pain free.

I hope this helps.

Hugs,

Jan

I hear YOU and yet I am carb addicted right now (my comfort food)..... but I am thinking about asking if my doctor will give me a referral to see a Diet Nutritionist, therefore, my insurance will pay for it.

Thanks...

((((((((((((((( Rhapsody ))))))))))))))))))

Please go to the ER for good pain control, then try to manage it from there. Can you do that? Please don't take too many other meds (they say taking more doesn't help any better than the prescribed dosage anyhow).

I had to do that with daughter three times in two weeks...to ER for the good stuff, then was able to manage it from there.

Be safe, hon.

Thanks.... I have thought about it, but I guess I am trying to make it until I see the Neuro doc I have an appt with on October the 5th..... my GP gave me some Darvocert N-100 for the the pain, but I took two of them last night (instead of the normal one) and it did nothing for my pain what so ever and I am now going on little to no sleep...... phooie spit spit.
