![]() I just picked up my new prescription eyeglasees (which were not inexpensive), and they feel tight. What should I do? After the optomotrist refracted me, there is a "guy", optiician (i do not know if that is a legal term in my state), helped me pick out frames. He helped me pick out this pair, measurused where my pupil should be, etc... He was there when I picked them up and he "fitted" me. I kept on saying they feel too tight and I will get headaches, so he heated the plastic and bent them a few times...Upon returning home, i compares them to my last 2-3 pairs, they are smaller. Any suggestions? I just feel ripped off. ![]() I know this is not a major issue, but it will be if I experience headaches daily. Thanks.

I would take them back and talk to a supervisor. Some places have a guarantee if you bring them back within a certain amount of time.
Good luck Gayle |

I suggest you take them back and have them refitted....
if they refuse, check out zennioptical.com you can get lens and frames there starting at 6.95 +4.95 shipping and handling. I got my bifocals for less than 34 dollars. they have thousands of frames in different price ranges and you can tint the lens for sunglasses. |

I'm too lazy to take my glasses off (used for reading only) so wear them on top of my head or down my nose and look over the top, etc. and that's not fair to whether they hurt or not/cause headaches. Usually my headaches are caused by the angle of the glasses (carrying mine around not in a case and wearing them on top of my head causes the frames to become uneven so, again, the angle is not correct), the too tightness should tell you you have been wearing them too long and need a break from them? No, they should not put grooves in the side of your head or give you headaches but you have to wear them properly too, not constantly, or take shortcuts caring for them; they're expensive instruments! You put your phone or computer in a case of some sort to protect them when you carry them around (my computer cost $49, my carrying case might have been more expensive, I don't remember :-) and I should take my own advice and treat my $600 glasses (two pairs, one for upstairs by my bed and one for downstairs here at my computer) better!

Kirby,
Take them right back and talk to a supervisor like gaylegg suggested. Doen't matter what yoy paid, you bought them so you could see better and you have every right to have them fit. They may be able to use the same lenses if the seeing part is right for you. You are the customer. Don't feel bad about complaining. |

Take them back. You don't deserve headaches because of this! It IS a major issue if you're suffering because of this.
I've had to have the "legs" of my glasses readjusted when they were tightened too much - because they gave me a huge headache. The customer is sometimes very right - especially when it comes to things that are health related!

So, did they replace them for you yet? They should. I've worn glasses for 40 years, and you should absolutely not be having that problem.
