Today I feel worse than I have all week long. I went to see a doctor today and he told me that I have a sinus infection. He put me on some antibiotics and told me to get more of my allergy medicine. So I went to my doctor and talk to the nurse today. She faxed a perscription to the pharmacy. I still don't feel well even after taking my meds. My head is just pounding tonight and I can't sleep. I just don't feel well at all. What can I do to get better? I've been taking like 4000 mg of vitamin C already every day. Not to mention Zyrtec D for my allergies every day. I've been watching what I eat and staying away from things that I am allergic to as well. I feel like there is no end to this. I wish that I was feeling better. I see my doctor in three weeks so maybe he will be able to help me a little more. I don't know. I just don't feel well at all tonight. I take my meds and I still get infections. This is not fun. Feeling really sick

I'm sorry you are sick. I understand all what you say. Feeling really sick Not sure about the 4gm of C though, but if the allergist is guiding you, ok Feeling really sick

I am allergic to many of the medicines that help most ppl, so my symptoms don't improve on the meds (and may become worse.) Sometimes there is "rebound" effects from the medicine itself. Feeling really sick Have you been tested for the medicines as allergy?

I have bronchitis right now, due to aspirating sinus drainage from allergies. The med I need to take makes me sick but in a different way. The cortisone meds I can't take for a while, as they weaken my blood vessels and I've been having trouble with them bursting in my eye.

Ok, I didn't post that to steal your thread, but to let you know I DO know how horrible you feel.

I hope you can figure it out soon. Are you TOTALLY resting in bed to give your body a chance to fight this? Drink plenty of water to flush the toxins out. Do you have a breathing machine at home? Feeling really sick

Laying down makes me feel worse. This antibiotics is really giving me a hard time. It gave me a bad headache, my sinuses are draining like crazy, I can't stop coughing. I feel so blah. I'm tired enough to sleep but I can't because of all this physical stuff. Feeling really sick

I hope your Doc prescribed some Nasonex nasal spray or Flonase. Both are steroidal nasal sprays and a must have for sinus/allergy probs!

Hope you will feel better soon!!!

I used to get horrible colds at least 2x yearly. Strangely tho...I haven't had a cold or infection in nearly 20 years.

Hope I didn't just jinx myself! Take good care!!!!! Feeling really sick

Too much vitamin C can give you headaches, side or lower back pain, diarrhea, nausea. If a supplement doesn't seem to be working for whatever you're taking it for, I'd ease off it a bit? Sometimes it needs other supplements with it too.

I take C for my asthma/respiratory health but only take 500 a day (with a multi-vitamin (has more C), B complex, OsCal Ultra calcium (has more C too) and CoQ10. It doesn't seem likely to me that a lot of any one nutrient would be missing from how we're made that it would take science or medicine, this many zillions of years later to figure it out.

I went and saw the school nurse again this morning. She changed the antibiotic so that I'm not so sick with it. I'm feeling a bit better after the change. That medicine was nasty to me. LOL! Hopefully this other stuff works better for me.
