What are some natural supplements I could buy to boost my gaba, serotonin, or other natural chemicals in the brain?
I feel that I have a pretty large deficiency when it comes to things like serotonin because of my crushing depression. I feel like maybe a little more extra effort from me might increase the effectiveness of my SSRI medication, or just improve my over all mood. Once again I am looking for over the counter vitamins not the prescription that works best for you. I already pay a doctor an arm and a leg to figure that part out. Lastly, other than the B vitamins, are there any vitamins that improve over all energy levels? |

This might help...
http://www.helpguide.org/harvard/nat...h_remedies.htm Couple things to be aware of... There is a lot of evidence that too much can be counterproductive. Vitamin d is recommended but you can od on it too. It is best to get these things from food. I did a lot of research on this a couple years ago. Supplements in the form of a pill are absorbed differently then in a food. That's because food is more than a singled out supplement and they can work together. Mother Nature knows better. There are contraindications with ssri's and things that effect GABA, serotonin, etc. Remember the ssri is increasing those levels so adding to it may be detrimental. It is a good idea to have your regular dr check your levels. It might not be thorough but better than completely guessing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
