Ok so I have been sick for over a month now. I had laryengitis twice in the last two months and and just got over having it for 2weeks. The whole time my throat hurt really bad, but the second week it started to hurt to swallow/breathe. I went to dr, but he claimed it was just laryengitis. I was skeptical, and went back in 5 days later because it hurt so bad to swallow that I wanted to cry! Still they claim laryengitis. So when I argued that this is nothing like any of the laryengitis I have ever had before he said that he wants me to see and Ear nose and Throat Doctor. SO I am going, but not for 2 more weeks. Today my throat and neck are so soar....I am ready to cry because it hurts to even swallow spit! I don';t know what to do any more! I just wnat to die, the pain is out of control and I have an extreeme high pain tollerence.

Any sugestions would help, please none that require swallowing....or chloreseptic sprays.

I personally have to take 4 Advil's (800 mg) at one time to stop any physical pain I am having.... and some times I even have to add one of my pain pills to the pile.

I wish you some well deserved physical inner PeAcE, and soon.

LoVe,

P.S.
Have you tried the dissolvable strips for sore throats?

An ENT is a good bet. You might be allergic to something you are eating, drinking or inhaling (smelling.) What has changed in the last 2 months, can you think? Did you change your laundry soap or perfume? Shampoo?

That it hit your throat could be anything but possibly something you're eating or drinking. Try eliminating everything and going with pure water first. (Don't forget about toothpaste and gargle stuff... eliminate them too , especially if they are new to you.)

I hope you find a reason soon. ((hugs))

My throat hurts so bad tonight i am at the point i have gone to ER, but since I know ER isn't going to do anything I am laying here almost in tears. I can't swallow because it hurts, but gargling doesn't touch the pain...it is like it is farther down in my throat. I have an apt on Friday, but Friday is such a long ways away! I kinda think i might be running a temp right now, but am not sure, haven't checked, but I am just ready to scream because the drs can't seem to tell me what is wrong, but yet I am in so much pain i could die.

Hello I hope you are feeling better. I use Lysine ane it helps I take 1 tablet per day and it helps with cold and Flu and to keep the immuns system built up. Ask your Dr if you can take Lysine, it helps a lot. Take care Soidhonia

ok so I went to the ENT dr on Friday and basically he told me that I have an infection in the bottom of my larynx, or basicallt the verry bottom part og my throat which is why the reg dres couldn't find anything wrong. He put me on antibiotics, the swallowing thing is better, but now I feel like i have junk in my throat all the time so I am not sure that it is going to kick it. He did give me a second dose of anti-biotics, but i don't know if I can emotionally stand another round of them. They mess with my depression so bad....

Well anyways thought i should update you all.

Hello I hope youare feeling better soon. You may want to call the Dr and have the Dr adjust your medication for the depression. Some antibiotics can affect the depression medication. Your Dr will probably changet hte dosage to keep you out of danger. I hope the best for you Take care Sincerely Soidhonia
