I am unsure if I've ever been to a cardiologist for a heart consultation... But I am going on March 18th unless I end up getting in sooner, as I'm on the cancellation list.

If I ever have been to one, it's been years so I don't remember.

What will they do? Will I be able to finally get the answers I need this visit or is it going to take even longer?

My psychiatrist suggested what he thinks it is, so I'm going in with a possible diagnosis, will this help things move faster?

I just want to know if it will finally help me, because it's been a month or so that we've been trying to figure things out and I just want answers.

I would say a lot depends on what kinds of tests they may run. There may be tests that will need to be scheduled on a different day, obviously these will take longer to get results. Each doctor is different and it depends on what they suspect is wrong. Sorry I can't give you more encouraging news about finding a diagnosis on the first appointment. They may be able to give you an idea after first seeing you.

I am not familiar with cardiology but yes I agree that it depends on the tests they run. WIth a whole panel of tests they might take longer, and there is a variety of tests, blood that needs to be sent to a lab, monitor that you have to wear throughout the day{s} and they need to read it and that takes time. They could run a stress test or an echo, and then more invasive tests if needed

I would call back the office and ask them what they're going to do, they should tell you the procedures and everything

Okay, awesome, thanks! We've already done a Holter so that's not going to be done again, and we've done an adrenaline test as well as blood tests. So, I'm thinking it'll be some other things this time, but I'm not sure. I guess I'll just find out when I get there. Thank you! Hopefully it'll help and get us on track faster.
