havd been under abit of stress lately, hubby and I are caring for one of our members here in Erie, her ICM and Doctor are both in agreement to this, she is having possible psuedo-seisures(sp), her neurologist has her on 1500 mg depakote for migranes, and her p-doc has her on nourotin(sp) 900 mg a day for headaches, she is also on effexor 300 mg per day, wellbutrin 400 mg per day, and atavan .50 mg per day
I'm wondering if they are over medicating her, I am monitoring her Meds cuz she was getting them mixed up.
should I ask the Doc's why so much meds, she has short term memory loss and can remember what they tell her, any idea what I should do next?

No ideas, no, but monitoring her meds is a good idea. It does sound like she's on a lot. Depakote is used for migraines too, I think, she should only need one med for that.

But, I'm not a doctor, and I don't play one on TV either. Needing insite and advise

I would certainly talk to her doc, in an attempt to get a better idea of what they're doing (rather than to criticize it). I don't know that whatever the "actual" problem is is worth all the meds? What is their purpose? Not a whole lot of quality of life there, doesn't sound like?

I would question the meds with the doc too Needing insite and advise depakote only for migraines? Must be a reason for that I would think, as there are plenty of other really good migraine meds. Seems she's maxed at the Effexor and that's why also the welbutrin? Needing insite and advise no wonder she can't keep meds straight. How long has she been on all these, and um I guess I'd ask why. heheh TC!
