30 gm of carbs at 2 meals, 45 at a 3rd is the usual recommemdation, IIRC.

I am diabetic, too. I eat 30-45 g. of carbs each meal and low carbs of course. I have lost 25 pounds so far. Need to lose more but it helped me to follow that.
