They really aren't sure about fibromyalgia, though it is listed with and covered by the Arthritis Foundation. As for the migraines, it doesn't matter what causes them, once you have one on the way, take the migraine med for it. I have several different types and causes of my migraines... my zomig zmt works wonders.

((((hugs)))

Hi 26west,

I have fibro. It can make you so sore you can barely stand a sheet to touch you. You can ache all over or just in certain spots.

Once someone laid his hand on my shoulder and I literally screamed due to the pain. Emotions do have an impact on it, but let's face it, living with chronic pain isn't doesn't make one very happy.

I have a several types of arthritis and auto immune problems, and to be honest, I feel much better on a high protein diet, or at least a no sugar diet.

If you can stay awake, Lyrica is a wonderful drug that is now prescribed for fibro. It literally takes the pain away. I take so many other meds that I couldn't stay awake not matter how hard I tried. I hope you can get some Lyrican and give it a try.

Hugs,

Jan

I am in the same boat as Jan........... and life can be hell some times with Fibro and other Autoimmune problems - please see another doctor or a pain specialist and see if you can get better care and meds.

And sorry if this sounds like an old record........ but
Better Eating and All around better Health can make a difference in how you feel day to day.

I was recently diagnosed with Fibro but have probably had it ever since middle school to some degree. I am lucky that mine is only mild to moderate, but I still know the struggles of it on a day to day basis. It is a frustrating and sometimes debilitating illness and I wish the very best for you and hope you can find some relief soon.

I have this as well and understand the pain. I get severe pain in my head and around my upper body, when it gets bad. I just end up going to bed and sleep sitting up so I can breathe. Last year I was layed up for two and a-half months before my doctor gave me medication that stopped the pain. This is wicked stuff and it seems it can affect all areas of your body. Ugh !!

I am hoping someone can help me, or at least understand me.

I purchased a 4 inch memory foam mattress from Overstock.com and it was literally been a God send. I can actually sleep without pain most of the time. I just put it on top of my mattress. It makes your fitted sheet kind of wonky but it's well worth it. Also an electric blanket helps, even if you use it just enough to warm the bed nicely.

If I can help with anything at all, all of you please feel free to send a pm.

Hugs to all,

Jan
