Any general knowledge like length of infection? et cetera.... Home remedies? Treatment? I was taking Tylenol/Codeine but my psychiatrist said to stop taking it immediately cause it could do weird things like cause hallucinations etc.

NO home remedies. Please see a doctor, this can develop and cause organ failure and death. (((hugs))))

It can last a month to three months. You definately need something for pain. Can you ask your family Dr. about it? You need to rest as much as you can and drink lots of fluids. Most of all, don't get mad at yourself because you're tired and don't let yourself slip into depression from it. I know it's especially hard to have during the holidays but please try hard to take care of yourself.

Hugs,

Jan

I've seen several doctors. Finally the last one said I had mono based in symptoms and (it was a weekend clinics bc the doc before said if u get worse or whatever come back in) sent me over to the hospital for lab work. The test came back positive. They agree wth January there really isnt a easy answer just kinda ride it out, drink and rest. Wish there was an easy answer. Calling the doctors office for some more answer on how long symptoms will last etc.

it really depends on the individual for how long it lasts .... one of my friends had it and it lasted for a couple months, and my other friend had it for over a year. Make sure you don't play any contact sports either, or even just exercising hard in general.

Maybe you can try advil or it's generic equivelent for the pain. I know it makes you hurt all over your body.
