i want to cleanse my whole body... system wide. i want to try to detox myself and try to rebuild my system up... i have been under a lot of stress for several years and i am now run down. i am so very tired all the time. i have had blood tests and i take supplements.
does anyone have any ideas? also interested in what anyone might know about coritsol's long term effects and what to do about it. thanks |

Hi Jello, I have been thinking of detoxing my system too. I read about a diet to follow that involves drinking only freshly squeezed lemonade or something (with cayenne pepper)--I'm not sure. You do this for several days, and it cleanses your system. I think it is a famous detox diet and can be found on the Internet. I'm not sure that is what you are looking for.
High levels of cortisol come from too much stress. To reduce cortisol, reduce the stress in your life by eliminating stressful life situations, downsizing one's responsibilities, cultivating a network of supportive friends and family, practicing relaxation exercises such as meditation, warm baths, getting regular exercise, etc. High levels of cortisol can cause depression (stress-induced depression), anxiety, raise blood pressure, etc. Let me know if you find some good detox methods. I'm interested.

i know what to cortisol comes from - no worries about that! haha
i just want to know what the long term effects are on the body... i know it isn't good, but i don't know exactly what it does that's so bad. yeah, i'll let you know what i find about detox... cayenne and lemonade ![]() |

Please keep in mind that before you detox your body you need to detox the LIVER...... it is your body's filter.
