I am either really allergic to something I keep eating or something or its just cuz I'm dehydrated but I am itchy all over.

I have taken Benadryl and it doesn't even touch the itchies that is why I am assuming its due to my dehydration. I am drinking water, gatorade, juice, Propel etc to get my body back hydrated.

Anyway any suggestions other than continually scratching all over all day to get rid of the itchies? Oh I also have taken to the shower and then rubbing lotion on and that helps for about a minute.

Jbug my mom used to put cider vinegar on mosquito bites and that stopped the itching. Dunno if it would work for you.

Very (I think so :-) interesting article:

I didn't realize there were so many systemic diseases that could cause itching.

Wow!

My mom told me to take a luke-warm shower with baking soda. I think I'm about to try that.

I will continue to try the Benadryl type meds until I see my doc on Wednesday and if still itching then (probably will I've been itching for a couple of days) will tell him about it. I probably look like I have fleas I'm scratching all the time LOL. No Tyger doesn't have fleas either I checked.

If you can't get some relief, you may need to see your doctor and get some medicine to get the condition under control. I have had to take prednisone for some allergic itching reactions I've had.

Do you currently take any medications? You may have developed a reaction to one of them and that is causing the itching. I think this is common. Are you on any new meds? If you suspect the itching is in response to a med, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice on which it may be. I have been taking lots of vicodin recently and the doctor warned me to watch out for itching. She didn't want to up my dosage until she knew I was itch-free.

An Aveeno oatmeal bath may help too. Oatmeal helps itching.

As others have mentioned, some meds and some medical issues can cause itching and/or dehydration. Low thyroid is one that comes to mind.

Have you changed laundry products recently? We can be sensitive/allergic to those too.

Water is the best for rehydration. Avoid drinks with sugarr or salts as both interfere with fluid absoption.

I hope you feel better soon!
