Be is right. Some of those symptoms aer those of diabetes. The pins and needles feeling can be caused by carpal tunnel syndrome or by problems with the nerve sheaths in your fingers. It's called nueropathy. There is medicine for the nerve sheath problems though called Lyrica and it works wonders.

Hugs,

Jan

Do you do a lot of typing or other repetitive motions with your hands or fingers? Sometimes numbness and tingling sensations can be signs of carpal tunnel. Although I'm sure there are other possibilites too. Best to check with a doctor. Good luck!

Katheryn,

Blood pressure and cholesterol have nothing to do with nueropathy. There is a test called, EEG that they use to see if you have it. Talk to your Dr and see what he or she thinks and hten if you need a description of the test, I'll send it to you in pm.

I hope it feels better soon.

Hugs,

Jan

(((((((((( Kathryn )))))))))))

I have had issues in the past with pins and needles in my hands and fingers. At that time it was due to cervical back problems.....stress that tightens up muscles through the back and shoulders and neck that can put pressure on nerves that go to your hands and fingers. You have been under a lot of stress over the past few months.....maybe some back care is in order...some nice massages and relaxation techniques might help.

advice on pins and needles Yes, I've had stress cause similar problems and it still could be your blood pressure meds too I think. The other symptoms are often common blood pressure med side effects. What kind of blood pressure med are you taking? Here's a pins and needle forum discussion for Toprol, a beta blocker but most of the references I found for pins and needs was from ACE inhibitors:
