I keep having nosebleeds (about 2 a week), can't breathe out of one of my nostrils, and there is a bit of swelling and I can feel a crookedness in my septum. I have a physical coming up in November, but should I make an appointment before then?

It was also suggested I get a sleep study done. I'm seeing a psychiatrist who's trying to get me on some sedating meds but nothing has worked so far and I'm sleeping about 20 hours a week. Can this wait until then too?

Waiting until November seems like a long time. Do you have Urgent Care Clinics where you live? In some countries there are online physicians who can offer advice, usually for a small fee. At least the fees are small where I live. You might want to want to talk to a Pharmacist if no one will listen to you. Please keep us posted on what is happening. Sorry I don't know what to say to help!

I met this nurse who said it's probably a deviated septum and said to take Sudafed every 6 hours and call my PCP. I talk to my psychiatrist on Tuesday and I'll ask her if I should get a sleep study done and if she says I should then I'll call my PCP and get that set up and ask her about the nose thing, otherwise I'll just wait until my physical in November unless it gets worse.

Sudafed is not a very good BP med. It is basically epinephrine and can shoot you as high as the stars very easily (had this happen before I was diagnosed). So be careful!
