For the past couple weeks I've had really bad night sweats. Where I wake up drenched in sweat and my blanket and pillow and part of my bed are sweaty too. I have to change my shirt and then I'm right back asleep.

Does anyone know what this could be? I don't sweat at all during the day and I'm only wearing a t shirt and basketball shorts to bed. I take the regular dose of melatonin now and stuff. I fall asleep fast and suddenly and deeply.

@Mountaindewed I am sorry you are having night sweats. It can be very perplexing.

I had night sweats before and also found I was feeling sleepy after high carb drinks or meals and that improved too when I stopped the high carb diet I was on.

I do not know what yours are caused by but this article may be of interest https://www.healthline.com/health/night-sweats#causes

You may want to consult with your medical professional.

Could be the metformin causing low blood sugar. Didnt you start the metformin fairly recently?

Do you have a glucose monitor? I dont think they should give you metformin without a glucose monitor, even tho the dr did give it to you to help with weight loss. It might be driving your blood sugar too low. Your coffees and sodas might be sending it high quickly, but then it may drop quickly.
