Because of the stupid games that California's Medi-Cal plays, my gout wasn't treated during the last flare-up. It returned last night! OWWWWWIIIIEEEEE!!!
 I'm exhausted from being up most of the night. Wish I had a blood pressure cuff to I could indulge myself in taking baking soda every two hours. Hubby is out buying me a case of cherry juice. That stuff is EXPENSIVE!  Oh, the pain!! My oldest son used to kiddingly say "Oh, Pain! Oh, "abony!" Then he'd cuss: "Caca, doo doo and good old #2!!"

(((hugs))) are you on meds all the time for the gout hon? I know if my dad gets off his he has a bad flare up.

No, I'm not on anything that I'm supposed to take daily, at least, not for the gout. The pharmacist told me that what my dr prescribed is in but that I'm to take it for 10 days. It's called Colchisin. Jerry's gone to pick it up for me now.
I think I'm gonna have to see my endocrinologist for this one, IDK. We'll see.

LOL Yeah, my line goes somewhat like yours with a few swear words inbetween. With the gout and the cellulitis, I've learned some inovative ways of putting those lines together!
  Great link, Perna! I hadn't read about the charcoal poltice. Wonder... would the plant nursery linseed meal work the same?  It's time to do a major feeding of my rose garden and that's one of the things I plan to buy really soon. Wonder if the nursery would have charcoal meal, too. Can't see why they would... but, hey! They do sell charcoal for pond systems, don't they?  Right now I'm trying to stay out of bed 'cause I sure didn't sleep much last night. Then I had the most exhausting dream that woke me up early this morning.  It felt as if I had really been chasing unruly grandkids all night!

what is gout? It sounds familiar but I cant put a meaning to it.

Well, it's gone for now. I was able to wear shoes yesterday for the first time in a long time.
Balish, gout is a form of arthritis caused by poor kindey function. It causes crystals to form in the joints, beginning with one of your big toes. It's VERY painful! Angie, just the thought of cold on my toe makes it hurt worse! I know it's supposed to help but I can't bring myself to do it.

I buy cherry capsules for spouse for a different reason but I know they are used for gout. I keep looking for sour cherry capsules. Look in a vit shop if you are interested.
