Has anyone tried this for pain? Its one of those old school depression meds now used for other things.

I read it often causes bad anxiety and disscoiation and severe weight gain as a side effect. Worse then Lexapro.

I don't really want to try it. I haven't had much pain since switching up my diet. My doctor also put me on omeprazole which I think will help my main issue.

Does anyone know anything about Nortriptyline?

Worse than Lexapro? I took Paxil and Venlafaxine for about 10 years each and had unwanted side effects with each. I was taking 40mg of escitalopram (Lexapro) with zero side effects. I've taken a few tricyclics and the only one I found helpful was Amitriptyline (Elavil). It has a hypnotic effect that can open the sleep window for those who suffer severe insomnia with depressive episodes. I don't know that any of the tricyclics are used to treat pain.

I've decided not to take it and stick with the omeprazole. My GI called today and said I should give B2 and CoQ10 vitamins another try. She swears they don't cause anxiety. For some reason I think everything causes either increased hunger or anxiety.
