I don't mean like if they get randomly shot in the head from behind out of the blue, but like if someone gets a feeling they're not going to make it through the night for physical stuff that might have been going on a while that got significantly worse recently how often would you believe them?
(Especially if that person said the past year straight they were physically incapable of dying and were just like "yup, don't think I'll be here tomorrow")?

I believe my dad knew. He was semi-conscious / non responsive for 9 days (no eating or drinking). I'm pretty sure he knew the end was in sight.

I would miss my smart little friend. I didnt expect to find my antipode. Life is really hard.

Sometimes I think they do, my friend Brian did, he was in palliative care for months. Other times it can be more unexpected, even with elderly.
